How To Co-Sign Fellows's OR Charts?
After October 6th, 2022 Main module update, cases can be finalized without staff's signatures.
All residents and fellows should add the staff name to the providers tab for all cases.
The staff do need to sign all these charts on iPro. However, since these charts have already been finalized, they will NOT appear in the "Incomplete Cases" bucket. Stephanie will send out regular reminder emails with list of charts to be signed. One will then manually search those charts on iPro. Signature can be added while viewing a chart without unlocking, hence making the signing process easier.
Unfortunately, when we do this (signing without unlocking and finalizing) , the system does not generate a replacement record to send to Sunnycare which is the system of record, so the Hospital (and official records) continue to show unsigned charts.
So the solution going forward is that it is necessary to unlock the chart, then sign, then finalize the chart again. This will generate a new pdf to Sunnycare.
I know this takes longer, but until we have a better fix, this is the process.
The Hospital is understandably concerned about hundreds of incomplete records, so please have a look each week at the circulated list. If you signed before yet the record still appears on a list, you may have to unlock and finalize again right away.
End time for M5 OB cases
several days after the delivery there will be record in Sunnycare titled: “Complete Episode Record - Delivered”.
Open this pdf and search (control-F) for “delivery time”.
You will find it around page 15-20 of the 30 page pdf.
The end time for us is 1 hour after delivery, (for vaginal deliveries) and that should be entered into iPro. (For operative deliveries, end time is same as for any OR)
Remember to get the date right, since iPro will have generated days or weeks of empty chart as it thinks the case has been ongoing.
The blue billing cards have a time slot for vaginal deliveries. So if this card ends up in your hands, this might also help you with finish time (1 hr after delivery).
