How To Chart Trauma Note?

There are 3 iPads in the ER trauma bay

You can use those iPads for documentation in the Trauma Bay. Tap on Trauma Note tab to open up the trauma note page. Upon finishing the note, please make sure to check off the check box title ‘This is a Trauma Case’ and then click on ‘Send Trauma Record’ so that record will be sent out to Sunnycare as a trauma document. 

The title of the record will be displayed as “Trauma Bay Anesthesia Assessment & Intervention” in SunnyCare.

Hello everyone,

Just a reminder: when documenting a trauma case in iPro, please make sure to check the box labeled "This is a trauma case" and click "Send trauma record" (see screenshot below) BEFORE finalizing the case and signing off. This ensures that iPro generates the report with the appropriate title of a trauma report rather than an OR report. Follow these steps even if you wish to have your record reviewed by the anesthesia staff.

This ensures that iPro generates the correct report to send to SunnyCare. Failure to follow these steps will result in an error in SunnyCare, which is complicated to resolve.
