What To Do At The End of Day Light Saving Time?

We will continue to use iPro in and around the time change.

Below are some tips about iPro that you may see during the time change.

If you do encounter any issues with the application that impacts your documentation, please revert to downtime procedures (Paper documentation)

If you are adding a case during that hour and you are not able to find the patient in the system, I’ve attached a cheat sheet for a workaround to manually add a patient to iPro.

Chart Tab

The Chart will repeat the 1 am hour. Auto vitals and infusions will not overwrite themselves.

Date/Time Pickers

Ex’s

- Anesthesia Start/End Times

- Providers Start/End Times

- Manually entering Intra Op Labs

- Adding a Signature

- Etc.

You will NOT see a secondary option for 1am in date/time pickers.

*Add a note about Daylight Savings if you encounter any entries that might have a similar time stamp but are actually an hour apart.

Summary/Notes/Results

Any area that shows a summary of multiple results (Intra Op Labs) or a record of multiple events (Chart Event Notes) the order will auto populate in the chronological order that they were entered.
