Patients With Complex Pain Issues Identified at PAC

Complex pain button in PAC Bayview

Complex pain button in TrackPAC is available to identify patients with complex pain for OR. There is currently not a set criteria for selecting this option. In consultation with APS NPs, the recommendation will be to select this button for the following reasons:

1. Oral morphine equivalent > 50mg
2. On suboxone or methadone
3. Any other complexities identified by PAC staff that would impact pain management

The APS NPs have agreed to identify these patients on the OR list the day before.
