Direct-to-Patient Education Program (DPEP)

Sent on behalf of Lilia Kaustov
Dear All,

I am writing to introduce you to an exciting program being launched by the Perioperative Brain Health Centre and the Department of Anesthesia called Direct-to-Patient Education Program (DPEP).
The goal is to reduce postoperative delirium by providing comprehensive and assessable educational materials to our patients, their families, and healthcare providers.
The DPEP was established in the Department of Anesthesia by Dr. Stephen Choi.
In today’s rapidly evolving healthcare landscape, we understand that being an informed patient is crucial to making decisions about health. DPEP aims to educate patients, families, patient partners and healthcare providers on the latest information for perioperative cognitive concerns to help protect brain health.
We have also developed the DPEP user-friendly platform to empower individuals by equipping them with reliable, up-to-date information about anesthesia, surgery and surgical brain health.
We invite you to visit the DPEP and explore our educational resources.
Best regards,
