On TrackPac, click on the Billing Code Box. You will see the drop down with the billing options. Click on the appropriate code and save it. The billing office has access to the Billing Code screen and they can bill using that screen. At the end of the day, if you want to check to see if you’ve billed for all your patients, you can check on the Billing page. Go to the TrackPac main page (click on the TrackPac icon on the top left corner). On the top left, you will see 2 icons for reports, one for schedule and one for billing. Click on the billing. Enter in the date in question, you will see what the billing office sees. If you’ve forgotten to bill for a patient, go back to the Anesthesia page and make the appropriate changes.
If you are billing A210, please note the following: For A210 the start and stop time of the service must be recorded in the patient’s permanent medical record. You can add that in on iPro as a note.
If a resident sees the patient in hospital, and you feel it’s appropriate, the code would be C210.

SPECIAL ANAESTHETIC CONSULTATION
Definition/Required elements of service: A special anaesthetic consultation is rendered when an anaesthesia (01) specialist provides all the appropriate elements of a regular consultation and is required to devote at least fifty (50) minutes of direct contact with the patient exclusive of time spent rendering any other separately billable intervention to the patient.

- A015 for in person consults - Modifier (modality indicator) for Virtual consult K300A for video meeting - Modifier (modality indicator) for Virtual telephone consult K301A -- pays at 85%
A015 can only be billed with K300A (by video). Whereas A013A can be billed either with K300A (by video) or K301A (by telephone).
