What To Do At The Start of Day Light Saving Time?

Unlike the end of day light saving time, NO special procedure needed when the clock springs forward in March.March except the adjustment for infusion (see below).
At the beginning of daylight savings, since we are setting our clocks forward an hour, we should not have any issue with overwriting data in the Chart tab in iPro.
However, for infusions, they will continue to run during that hour gap in the timeline. This may mean that your totals will be inaccurate. For this reason I am recommending one of the following:
1. Stop the infusion before 2am and add a new line for the same medication or fluid and start it an hour later along the timeline.
To Stop Infusion:
1. Select stopping point along the timeline
2. Select ‘Stop’
*Repeat the same steps in ‘Fluids In’ section

2. If you prefer, you can choose to use downtime procedures (Paper).
a. If you are starting a case and you think it will run through the downtime, use paper from beginning to end.
b. If a case has already been going in iPro and will not finish before 2am, stop the auto vitals and any infusions (Meds & Fluids in sections) and continue your documentation on paper. Make a note of this in iPro.
Note - The monitor times will not impact iPro documentation and will be updated Monday morning.
